What is Crawl Space Encapsulation?

Crawl space encapsulation is the process of turning your nasty, wet, unusable crawl space and makes it into a clean, dry, usable space. The way we encapsulate a crawl space is by installing our drainage mattering along the crawl space floor which will allow for any water or moisture to move freely under the drainage matting. If the crawl space is having a water issue we will install our sump pump system in the crawl space that will capture and discharge any water that tries to enter the crawl space. We then install our CleanSpace vapor barrier over the drainage matting which is bright white and will make this space clean and dry by stopping any water or moisture from entering the crawl space area. For the crawl space walls, we put our SilverGlo insulation on the walls which helps reflect heat back into the space making it more energy-efficient, while also acting like a vapor barrier on the walls. We also install our self-discharging dehumidifier system in crawl spaces which are designed to self-discharge, so you never need to worry about emptying it while it also filtering out any moisture and small mold particles that might be in the air, making the crawl space into a clean, dry, usable space for many years to come.
