Waterproofing and Finishing a Basement in East Islip

Challenge

Mrs. K wanted to finish her basement once and for all, but she has a problem keeping the water out. She also had mold growing along the walls and underneath her basement flooring! After a thorough inspection, Eric Greenberg, one of our top system designers, devised a system that would keep the basement dry all the time. He also came up with a plan to help finish the basement so Mrs. K could finally enjoy her clean basement space with her family.

Solution

Deon Frisbie and our expert installation team removed the damaged and moldy dry wall. They eradicated the mold by treating the basement with the CleanStart Plus mold kill program. This ensures that mold will not grow in areas treated. Next, the team dug a trench around the perimeter and installed our patented WaterGuard system. After the WaterGuard system was finished, they installed our patented Silver Glo Wall which helps keep the basement warm, and installed our patented Zen Wall over the Silver Glo Wall which is mold resistant and has a clean, finished look. Lastly, the team installed the ThermalDry Elite plank flooring to ensure that the finished basement floor stays dry and mold free forever.
