Permanent Basement Waterproofing and Insulation in Hampton Bays

Challenge

The customer had moved into their Hampton Bays home two years ago. During that time, the finished basement had been flooded on multiple occasions. They lived close to the water, and wanted to have a flood free home to enjoy. Together, we put together a full perimeter system that will keep their home dry and comfortable. We also decided to use on of our great vapor barriers, ThermalDry, to keep the basement warm and dry.

Solution

Andrew Bouchard, one of our system design specialists, designed a permanent waterproofing solution which included WaterGuard around the full perimeter and a TripleSafe pump system. The WaterGuard catched the water before it reaches the floor and carries it to the TripleSafe pump which will discharge the water away from the house. We then installed our patented ThermalDry wall system on the walls, which boasts a radiant barrier that reflects 97% of the heat back into the basement. 

The basement is now permanently waterproofed, even if the power goes out. And the customer will save hundreds of dollars each year on heating bills after insulating their basement.
