Mold Removal & Waterproofing of Basement & Crawl Space in Sound Beach, NY
Challenge
This home in Sound Beach, NY had a noticeable mold problem. The home owner called our Systems Design Expert Eric Greenberg to confirm the mold infiltration in the basement and crawl space and go over the best possible solutions. Eric recommended a few different installations, that when paired together, would not only remove the mold, but waterproof the basement and crawl space and prevent any future mold from ever growing there again.
Solution
Head foreman Deon and his production team entered the home and used CleanStart Plus to get rid of the mold that had been lingering in both the basement and crawl space. Once they made sure the basement was mold-free, they got to work to waterproof the basement to make sure it was healthy. The production team installed the WaterGuard piping system and the TripleSafe sump pump. These two products work together to remove water from the basement. The WaterGuard is installed along the perimeter of the basement, keeping the basement floors dry. It carries all water from the floors to the sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump then safely discharges the water outside of the homes foundation. In addition to these products, the CleanSpace wall system was also installed. This protects the walls from water leakages, seepage's and mold by creating a vapor barrier around the walls. It also reduces humidity within the basement. Now this home is free of all mold, waterproofed and healthy.
