Systems Design Specialist Eric Greenberg entered this home's basement and immediately noticed mold due to the foul odor and his many years of experience. Eric confirmed the family's suspicions but immediately calmed them down by offering reasonable solutions to not only get rid of the mold growth, but take actionable measures to prevent mold from ever reoccurring in their home. He explained how wetness and humidity is what attracts mold and encouraged them to waterproof their basement in order to protect themselves. 

Solution

The first thing our production crew did was safely remove and dispose of the mold that had grown in their basement over the years. To do this they used CleanStart Sanitizer, a powerful mold removal tool that kills mold. After killing and removing all the mold, the team waterproofed the basement at the homeowners request. To do this, they had two main installations: WaterGuard XL and the TripleSafe Sump Pump. The WaterGuard XL is a nearly invisible installation that sits around the perimeter between the wall and floor. Its purpose is to catch all seepages before they reach your basement floor, to keep the floor dry. This works hand in hand with the aforementioned TripleSafe Sump Pump. The WaterGuard XL sends all the water it collects from seepages and otherwise straight to the TripleSafe, which will dispose of the water outside the perimeters of the home. The TripleSafe is a top of the line sump pump that has three separate pumps, so its guaranteed to work even with heavy duty amounts of water. Its third pump even works in the event of a power outage so your basement is protected at all times.
