Basement Waterproofing in Port Jefferson Station, NY
Challenge
Our customer in Port Jefferson Station, NY contacted us because they had a situation in their basement; water was seeping in through the concrete walls and floor. Upon inspection, we discovered high humidity and mold in the space, as well as efflorescence, the white, dusty residue resulting from salt being pushed out of the masonry by water.
Removing the moisture from the area, as well as cleaning/treating the affected areas properly, will solve these problems.
Solution
We installed our WaterGuard® and TrenchDrain® systems around the perimeter of the basement; these collect water seeping in through walls, leading it to drain into our SuperSump® sump pump, which will pump out the collected water. We utilized our CleanStart® sanitizer to eliminate any mold in the space and then installed our BrightWall® basement wall panels. The panels are 100% waterproof and washable, creating a vapor barrier on the basement walls to block out water vapor and humidity. Lastly we installed our SaniDry™ dehumidifier to remove any moisture from the air in the space, resulting in a dry, clean, and comfortable basement.
