Wet and Mildewed Basement in Seacliff, NY

Challenge

A homeowner in Seacliff, NY had a water problem in her basement that was destroying her tile flooring and walls. Upon inspections, we determined that the water was seeping through the walls and floor, but we had solutions to remedy the problem.

Solution

We moved the wet wallboard and insulation as well as the floor tile around the perimeter of the basement. We then installed our WaterGuard® perimeter draining system along with our TripleSafe™ sump pump, with its built-in backup pump system. These resulted in a dry, comfortable basement with no musty odors, and another satisfied customer!

The efflorescence (white, dusty residue) on this brickwork was an indicator of water seeping through the masonry.

Floor tiles were lifting due to water coming up under the floor.

We removed the tiles and the wet wallboard and insulation. We then installed our WaterGuard® draining system in the floor around the perimeter of the basement.

We added our TripleSafe™ sump pump, where the WaterGuard® would drain into, and ran the discharge line out of the house. The end result was a dry, comfortable basement.
