Crawl Space Waterproofing & Insulation
Challenge
This crawl space in East Hampton, NY had some serious issues that were pestering the house owners and needed resolving. In addition to mold growing within the crawl space, the crawl space also needed to be insulated. It was becoming overbearingly cold during the winter months, and water was entering during the summertime. After our Systems Design Specialist Gabriel Ryan observed the crawl space and talked to the homeowners, he sent in our production team to fix these problems.
Solution
Our production team entered the crawl space to resolve the numerous issues that have been lingering within. First, they removed all the mold with CleanStart Sanitizer to give the crawl space a fresh start, and make it a safer environment. Then they used Rim Tight Insulation to help insulate the crawl space to prevent the excessive cold. CleanSpace Drainage Matting and CleanSpace were put on the floors. CleanSpace creates a vapor barrier and helps insulate the floors as well as keep it dry. SilverGlo was placed on the crawl space walls for the same purpose. This family also had a Smart Sump installed. The Smart Sump Pump collects unnecessary water build up from the crawl space and disposes it outside the home's foundation. Finally, the SaniDry Sedona was installed to help with the humidity issues and dehumidify the crawl space. This stops moisture from building up since moisture causes water and eventually mold growth. With these installations, Healthy Basement Systems and the home owners are proud to say the crawl space is now safe, dry and insulated!
