This was a damp and dirty crawl space under a home in Atlantic Beach, NY, but Bill Simone's Healthy Basement Systems transformed it into a clean and dry area. Healthy Basement Systems sealed all of the crawl space vents and then installed SilverGlo™ Crawl Space Wall Insulation, which gives the crawl space walls an unbroken plane of R-11 insulation, while sealing them from outside moisture and humidity infiltration. Then we installed the patented CleanSpace® Crawl Space Vapor Barrier. The 20 mil thick CleanSpace® liner completely seals off the home from the dirt floor below. The CleanSpace® liner also has antimicrobial properties, preventing mold and mildew to grow along the liner. The job was buttoned up with our EverLast™ Crawl Space Door, leaving a clean, airtight, and waterproof barrier between the crawl space and the outdoors.

Too Easy Access for Everything

This opening made it easy for leaves, debris, water, and critters to get into this crawl space; this is not what you want under your home.

Sealing Up Crawl Space Vents

The best way to keep things out of your crawl space is to seal them up. We closed up the access areas to keep water, air, and critters out.

Add Some Insulation to Keep Things Comfy

We installed SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation panels on the perimeter of the crawl space, adding an R-11 value of insulation to the walls.

Clean and Dry Crawlspace

We installed our CleanSpace Crawl Space Vapor Barrier, preventing water vapor and humidity from passing through. Keeping the crawl space dry protects the structure and insulation from mold and rot.
